...with Madrid. No, not a boy! Here are my favorite things about Madrid thus far:
1) I can get coffee, European style: at a bar, standing up or sitting down, after every meal, in a little tiny cup with real sugar!
2) Tapas! I heart croquettas...and tortilla (an omelet)... and patatas bravas...and migas...and so much more!
3) The people are so nice and friendly. I've only had maybe two instances where people were not nice to me, but I think they were just the kind of people that can never be happy.
4) The very efficient and clean Metro (totally beats the El).
5) Parque del Buen Retiro - my refuge.
6) The fact that I can sit at a restaurant for hours, and no one would bother me until I ask for my check.
7) Pigeons are few and far between, even in the plazas.
8) Zara everywhere!
9) The SUN!
10) Cañas y claras!

I could have used your laugh at work today. You always made sour donor calls more tolerable. And absentee managers. I'm so happy that you're having fun and exploring though.
