Maybe this is a crazy thought, but if you are president of a country, don't you think you wouldn't have time to date anyone??? Since I've arrived here, I've been hearing a lot about the French president, Sarkozy, and his love affair with Carla Bruni. Frankly, I am very sick of it. I'm not sure if it's everywhere on American news, but it's definitely news in Spain. I may not understand the newspaper or TV news, but I know when they are talking about Sarkozy. It also doesn't help that all TV channels keep showing this car commercial with Carla Bruni.
I personally think it is ridiculous. I would just think that France has some problems that need some attention. There are many people who have no time to date (one of the many reasons behind Match.com and others), so I would think someone who is in charge of a whole country would not have any time at all!
If I were a French citizen, I would be pissed! They're paying this guy to go on holidays with his girlfriend, now new wife, with their tax money!!! What a joke!

but france is about love and kissing and art and enjoying life! it would be hypocritical to not fund such ventures of your fearless leader!!! haha...
